ORBITGear

Established in 2017, full of modularity, and comes with technicalities that let the users creatively customize their gear without a worry about any condition. The technical looks make ORBITGear come from the future.

I've been working with this company as a content marketing. My role is to help the company make and plan the visuals in photos and videos, for campaign and catalog purposes.

ORBITGear x Backforce

This is my first challenge joining ORBITGear as a content marketing. I was challenged to plan the editorial and catalog in collaboration with Backforce. Backforce is a brand from Germany that focuses on gaming tools. Since gaming mood and feel tend to look aggressive, so I took reference from sports car advertising. In this editorial, I want to show the detail of the products with striking highlights. For the catalog, I took some references from the infamous chair brand, Herman Miller. So the customer can see clearly any features of the chair.

Black Foil

When I saw the product's material, I thought of something textured, slimy, and glossy. From there I remember Alien movies and I use some of their cinematography as a reference. I choosed to use side lighting to make the material look shinier, and for the background, I make some kind of shaped lighting to make it looks like a gate from a spaceship. For the teaser, I made it looks like the bags are flying around freely in space, to make it looks like debris stranded in space.

Mystic Mountain

This collection shows the new detachable hoody jacket, with heat-reactive and iridescent material on the hoody. Since this was a new special drop, I thought this would be great if we showed it this is like we found and captured a new creature.

So I choose the front spotlight for the editorial. For the teaser, I choose to show the detail of the material with a splash of water to show it more dramatically and show the material is weatherproof. For the graphics, I choose to show it like a futuristic lab analyzing a newfound biological subject.

Camouflage

This is my one my favorite collection. This collection is showing the new special drop of several bags with military cammo materials. The direction for this collection is to show it like this is in somekind of war tent and the soldier try to get ready for the war. First idea for this collection is we choose to use projector for the background, but I got a better idea. I thought this would be great if we try to combine 3D asset with photography. So with that Idea, I made the scene in blender for the background. And I'm pleased with the results.
